Juice & Dairy Drinks

Overview

Juice and dairy drinks are filled into cartons, PET and glass, and the common thread is hygiene. These are products that spoil, so the line is cleaned more often and more thoroughly than a soft drink line, and it usually runs chilled from filling all the way to dispatch.

Conveyors are built on stainless steel with belt materials that tolerate frequent cleaning and stay flexible at chilled temperatures. Sugar residue from juice is sticky and attracts contamination if it is left, so drainage and cleanability drive the design as much as throughput does.

Where we work on the line

  • Carton and bottle filling infeed
  • Chilled line transfer
  • Accumulation between filler and packer
  • Crate and tray loading
  • Cold-store and dispatch handling
  • Empty crate return

Frequently asked questions

Why does a juice line need more cleaning than a soft drink line?

Because juice and dairy spoil, and sugar residue is sticky and attracts contamination if left on the line. Conveyors are specified for frequent wash-down with open construction and full drainage, so residue can be removed rather than accumulating in places that cannot be reached.

Do belts work at chilled temperatures?

Yes, with the right material. Plastic modular belts are widely used in chilled areas, and PU belting stays flexible at low temperatures where PVC becomes stiff. Belt material is chosen against the actual working temperature of the line.

Can one line handle cartons, bottles and crates?

Different sections handle each. Cartons and bottles run on modular belt or table top chain depending on stability and speed, while crates and trays run on crate chain, which is built for their weight and base design. The sections connect at loading and dispatch points.
